Fruit and Vegetable Warehouse Sets New Benchmark

Following the merger of well-known and successful fruit and vegetable wholesale brands Suncoast Fresh and Fruitlink, a new facility has been built to house fresh produce and gourmet goods, acting as the mega hub for their distribution across South East Queensland and New South Wales.

The benefits of the Green Endeavour H1 Warehouse Facility:

The modern state-of-the art warehouse facility has been built to put the customers first. As a result, Green Endeavour (Suncoast Fresh & Fruitlink) can provide better distribution by dispatching efficiently and maintaining the highest integrity of each product so it arrives at its destination in the best possible condition.

A greener shed means a greener product. The 2023 facility helps reduce the environmental footprint of Green Endeavour (GE). The fresh produce company opted for mostly eco or recycled building materials throughout the build, including wall finishes, cladding, carpets, flooring, timber, roofing, bench tops, paint, and eaves and gutters.

Additionally, their electricity use is 40% more efficient as they’ve combined two teams under one roof. GE also captures fallen rainwater for the rooftop garden lush with edible plants and their bathroom needs like flushing toilets. They’ve even made the switch to electric forklifts! The best part? This is only the beginning of their Green Endeavour!

The new warehouse was built with the future in mind. Its purpose is to minimise interruptions to service and return supply to their loyal customers in the fastest possible manner through challenging times. Building above the 2011 and more recent 2022 flood lines was paramount to do this. As a result, the facility is now the highest across the Brisbane Produce Markets. Furthermore, it complies with the highest safety standards in alignment with our commitment to a high-safety culture to protect GE people, customers and the broader community.

Combining the IP and expertise under one roof has strengthened GE’s ability to procure the right products for their customers. In addition, they have created incredible workspaces so the industry-leading teams from Suncoast Fresh and Fruitlink can work synergistically while attracting the best talent, expanding the teams and capabilities even further.

The build that includes eight temperature-controlled rooms, including a dedicated freezer and multiple cold rooms, increases the ability to range the best produce and non-produce products like Deli, Grocery and FMCG goods.

Education is a core value for the members of Green Endeavour, and the new facility has increased the capacity to educate customers, teams and the broader community. Spaces like the kitchen and rooftop garden were created to inspire and empower both in person with regular masterclasses and cooking demonstrations, and online through our marketing and communication efforts.
